It is a particular layout form that the wa te r flow in chute energy dissipation pond turns 90° before entering the lower lev el canal. The design method of the bodily form of this kind of energy dissipatio n pond is presented through hydraulic calculation of energy dissipation pond of a real project and physical model test. A few problems of design calculation are discussed in this paper.
