The mankind has gone into the epoch of intellectual economy in the 21st century.The arrival of the new economical epoch and the increasing globalization of knowledge and economy have provided a turning point for the innovation of design ideas and means.The advance of the information technique will essentially change our design ideas and blaze new trials in the design method and means.This paper deals with the modern design ideas,new design means and the change and research direction of product development mode,and gives a prospect for the development trend of mining machinery
