摘要
简述了信息产业的特征、作用和中国信息需求的特点。详细说明作为信息产业所属的几个子产业，即计算机产业、软件产业、信息处理产业、数据库产生及信息通信产业。从宏观角度提出了我国加速发展信息产业所应采取的政策与措施。最后提出了我国信息产业的发展前景。
It describes characteristics and role of information industry, the information needs of China, the details of some subindustries of information industry: computer industry, software industry, information processing industry, database industry and communication industry. The policy and measures which should be adopted to speed up the development of information industry in China are suggested. Finally, the development future of this industry in China is described.
