The continuous conductivity profiling has distinctive superiority in karst exploration. After introduction of the character and working principle of continuous conductivity profiling, the paper also theoretically demonstrated it. The real application of continuous conductivity profiling to engineering karst exploration in reservoir of Sofengying hydroelectric station, Wujiang river, Jielong reservoir, Chongqing City and Li-ping airfield, Guizhou Province and achieved ideal results are separately introduced.
