试论文化对修辞的制约

Restraints of Culture upon Rhetoric

文化与修辞的关系密切。各种文化要素都影响和制约着修辞。本文从文化结构的视角讨论文化对修辞的制约。首先,物态文化制约着修辞,人的物质生产活动及其产品,如人们的衣、食、住、行等,都对修辞产生着制约作用;其次,制度文化制约着修辞,人们在社会实践中建立的自身行为规范和调节相互关系的准则对修辞也具有制约作用;再次,行为文化制约着修辞,也就是说,人在长期社会交往中约定俗成的习惯和风俗也制约着修辞;最后,心态文化制约着修辞,人们的社会心理和社会的意识形态,包括人们的价值观念、审美情趣、思维方式以及由此而产生的文学艺术作品等,也对修辞产生着制约作用。
