钛及其合金的耐海水腐蚀性能、高比强、无磁性、透声、抗冲击震动、可加工性(包括铸、锻、焊接)好的特点,使其成为优良的船舶材料,核潜艇是前苏联作为"二次核打击能力"的核心,也是其战略核力量的中坚,具有举足轻重的作用。前苏联是最早使用钛合金建造潜艇耐压壳体的国家,在建造钛合金核潜艇的研究和制造技术方面,处于国际领先地位。
As titanium and its alloys have excellent properties, such as seawater corrosion resistance, high strength, nonmagnetic, sound transmission, shock resistance and effective concussion, perfect workability (casting, forging and welding etc.),they have been used in vessels. Nuclear submarines were significant and seen as 'the second strike capability' and also the backbone force of former Soviet Union strategic nuclear forces. Former Soviet is the first country that applied titanium alloys in submarine shells with the world’s leading research and technology.
