传统的internet视频点播系统有使用不方便和安全性不够的问题,不利于推广应用。为了弥补这些缺陷,开发了一个通用internet视频点播系统:集成节目编码、节目数据库与网络数据库技术;充分发挥数据库管理网络视频播放的功能。实际运行证实系统有效、可靠,便于应用。

The conventional internet Video On Demand(VOD) system is likely to be inconvenient in operation and unsuccessful in security, and prevent itself from wide-spreading. Making up these defects, we have developed a general-purpose system for internet VOD; integrating the techniques of programme coding, programme databsae, and Web database; fully availing of the performances of database management and web broadcasting. Running tests demonstrate its validity, rliablity, as well as user-friendliness.
