This paper expounds the concept and characteristics of socia l capital on the basis of analyzing the origin and development of social capital t heory. Then it defines the knowledge chain that is formed in the knowledge flo w among various innovative organization. Furthermore, this paper not only analy zes social capital and it's affected elements in knowledge chain, but also disc usse s on the significance of social capital in knowledge chain.
