SHU Xincheng spent most of his life in Chung Hwa Book Co.,where he was in charge of Chung Hwa Educational Review. From the early 1930 s to the early 1950 s,SHU Xincheng carried out a series of reform measures in the process of presiding over Chung Hwa Educational Review,striving to turn it into one of the education magazines with the longest history and the greatest influence in modern China,and played an important role in promoting the modernization of education in China. The investigation and discussion of the relationship between SHU Xincheng and Chung Hwa Educational Review will help us to have a more comprehensive understanding of the contribution and significance of SHU Xincheng and Chung Hwa Educational Review in the history of modern education in China.
