宝玉挨打作为《红楼梦》里的一个小高潮,有其必然性。曹雪芹在前三十二回苦心孤诣地埋下种种伏笔为宝玉挨打做铺垫,并在三十三回后不断做出回应。从小说文本来看,"父子矛盾累积""优伶效应"和"贾环嫉妒"应是宝玉挨打的三个深层次原因,同时,此节使用的叙事技巧也更为繁复精巧。

As the climax of Dream of the Red Chamber,Baoyu’s Taking a Beating has a reason to win its name.The author Cao Xueqin made extraordinary painstaking effort to put as much foreshadowing as he could to pave the way for Baoyu’s Taking a Beating in the first 32 chapters,then he kept responding it after the 33 rd chapter.The paper tries to analyze from the text of the novel.It comes to the conclusion that the three main reasons for Baoyu’s taking a beating were accumulation of parent-child conflict,effect of an actor and the jealous of Jia Huan.It also analyzes on the narrative technique that this chapter used.
