A Light and Electron Microscopical Observation of Liver Cell Damages after Administration of Therapeutic Dose of Praziquantel in Man

吡喹酮是一种新的高疗效抗吸虫类和绦虫类药物。湖北省医药工业研究所等单位制成的本品,经鼠、兔、犬和猕猴等动物毒性和杀虫试验,证明其毒性副反应轻,疗效较好。继之经逐步推广应用于临床。

This article reported on biopsies cf 7 chronic schistosemiasis patients before and after the praziquantel treatment dosage observed under the optical and electron microscope. It was found that it has obvious pathological change in the liver cells, after the patient tock praziquantel. Therefore it indicates that praziquaned dosage treatment may produce a certain toxic damage on the liver cells, but this damage is reversed.
