The paper describes the significance and function of developing frequency conversion automatic tensioning device of belt conveyor, the current research status and progress. Frequency conversion automatic tensioning of belt conveyor, system composition, technical principle, structure and function features are introduced. Economic benefits and social benefits after applying the device are analyzed.
