The goal of software configuration managementSCM is to improve software quality and productivity. This paper firstly introduces the importance, definition and task of SCM. Then mainly present the base concepts and work flow of ClearCase, which is the SCM tool used by authors. Finally simply analysis the current status of SCM tool.
