The water turbine model test for Geheyan Project was performed in 1991, in Lachine, Quebee, Canada. The purpose of the witness model test was to confirm that the turbine performance is to meet the contractual requirements. The acceptance tests were carried out on the Test Stand No. 4 of the Hydraulic Laboratory of G. E. Canada, Montreal, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the international Code for Model Acceptance Tests of Hydraulic Turbines I. E. C. Publication 193 and 193A, and of the IEC Code Clarifications. This article describes the contractual requirement, the test results and discusses the variation in the test result happened during testing. The test results demonstrate that the contractual requirements have been met and even exceeded.
