民主集中制是中国共产党的根本组织原则和组织制度。建国以来,党的民主集中制建设经历了四个曲折的发展阶段。回顾党的民主集中制建设的曲折历程,总结其经验教训,对于新世纪、新阶段我国的社会主义民主政治建设和社会主义现代化建设将具有重要的现实意义。

Democratic centralism is the fundamental organizational principles and organizational system of the Communist Party of China. Ever since socialist China was founded, the Party's democratic centralism has passed experienced four twists and turns, ups and downs stages of development. Recalling the tortuous course which the construction of the party's democratic centralism went through and sum up the experiences and lessons, will have important practical significance for our country's socialist democracy and the socialist modernization drive in the new century and a new stage.
