湘鄂川黔革命根据地作为长江南岸的最后一块红色根据地,在推翻帝国主义、推翻封建主义、反对国民党对湘鄂川黔革命根据地的"围剿"以及支援中央红军长征的背景下,扩红运动显得更加迫切。轰轰烈烈的扩红运动,使得人民群众的革命热情高涨,纷纷加入到红军队伍中来,推动革命的进步,并且对当今的密切联系群众、团结少数民族以及对少数民族的兵役制度都有积极的启示意义。

As the last red base on the South Bank of the Yangtze River,Xiang-e-chuan-qian Revolu-tionary Base,it is urgent to expand the red sport in the overthrow of imperialism,overthrow feudalism,op-posed the Kuomintang to these revolutionary base 'encirclement and suppression' and support the Central Red Army background.To study the expansion of the red at that time with vigour and vitality movement has posi-tive significance to close with the masses,to unit the ethnic minorities and minority military service system.
