农业剩余劳动力转移对于社会主义新农村建设有着多方面的作用:农业剩余劳动力的转移有利于增加农民收入,积累新农村建设的资金;有利于追加人力资本,培育新农村建设的主体;有利于统筹城乡发展,优化新农村建设的环境。
