Analysis of the Function on National Writing in the National Historical Development——Taking the Old Dai Writing in Dehong Areas as an Example

傣族世代居住在云南,具有悠久的历史和灿烂的文化,傣族的先民们用老傣文创作了许多优美的叙事长诗,但随着时代的进步,老傣文的缺陷也日益显露。为了进一步促进民族地区的政治、经济和文化的发展,有必要对其民族文字进行改革,以更好地适应民族地区各项建设事业的需要,更好地服务于祖国的边疆建设,促进和谐社会的建设。

The Dai national minority has lived in Yunnan province for so many generations, it has long history and glorious culture. The Dai people’s ancients had written many exquisite narrative lengths poems with the old Dai writing ,but along with the time progress, the old Dai flaw is also becoming obviously. In order to promote further the development of politics, economy and culture in national areas, it is necessary to carry on the reform to its national writing to adapt to the needs of each construction enterprise in national areas and serve the construction of motherland’s border areas well and promote harmonious society’s construction.
