A Pure Heart and a pot of Tea——On Tea Culture

茶有不同,境有不同,人有不同,水有不同,器有不同,过程种种不同,结果自然是心有不同,意有不同;中国传统的茶道,其实是至少融合了儒、释、道三家思想的,一壶茶中,一杯茶下,儒家的礼、释家的禅、道家的玄一齐涌至,加上人情世态、古往今来,全部汇集其中了。

Teas are different, so do the condition, the people, the water and the utensils. There are differences in the process, so different feelings and intentions lie in the result. The traditional tea ceremony in China at least mixes three thoughts of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. A pot or a cup of tea brings the rite of Confucianism, the meditation of Buddhism and the mystery of Taoism together through the ages.
