陈颂是近代中国著名的女性图书馆员。她在民国时期的图书馆学思想及实践活动主要有:首次系统地研究图书馆统计问题,深入地探讨图书馆的广告方式,提出书籍选择的方法,积极参与中华图书馆协会年会。陈颂是我国培养的杰出女性图书馆员,推动了民国时期图书馆事业的发展。

Chen Sung is a well-known female librarian in modern China. Her thoughts and activites of library in the period of Republic of China includes: systematically studying library statistics for the first time;thoroughly discussing the library advertising methods;suggesting methods for book selection;and actively participating in annual meetings of the Library Association of China. As an outstanding female librarian of China, Chen Sung promotes the development of the library during the period of Republic of China.
