American libraries’ no-obstacle service has gone through three stages: starting, progressing and perfection. Adhering to the principle of freedom, equality, fairness, justice, pluralism and tolerance, American libraries constantly make the service system, procedure, environment and guarantee mechanism more perfect. Communication between libraries and the disabled is improved according to the belief of open and cooperation. The experience of American libraries’ no-obstacle service offers profound implications for domestic libraries.
