中美高校图书馆战略规划比较分析——以伊利诺伊大学香槟分校和武汉大学为例

Comparative Analysis of Strategic Planning of Chinese and American University Libraries——A Case Study of UIUC and Wuhan University

高校图书馆面临着许多机遇和挑战,作为信息和知识的中心,高校图书馆具有收集、提供、传播人类知识和信息的功能,因此很有必要制定图书馆战略发展规划。通过选取伊利诺伊大学香槟分校与武汉大学两所高校的图书馆战略规划进行比较分析,得出两国高校图书馆战略规划的异同。指出我国高校图书馆战略规划存在的不足,建议从加强战略意识,提升战略使命;公示规划流程,建全评估机制;组建战略团队,拓展服务内容等方面改进。

In the ever-changing and increasingly complex information age,university libraries face many opportunities and challenges.As the center of information and knowledge,university libraries have the functions of collecting,providing and disseminating knowledge and information,so it is very necessary to formulate the strategy plan.By comparing and analyzing the library strategic planning of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Wuhan University,the similarities and differences between the strategic planning of university libraries in the two countries are obtained.The authors suggest that the shortcomings of strategic planning of university libraries in China can be improved from strengthening strategic awareness,improving strategic mission,publicizing planning process,establishing evaluation mechanism,forming strategic team,and expanding service content.
