Cutted City: Urban Imagination of Contemporary Chinese Science Fiction

在经历大规模的城市化进程后,中国"城市"的特征逐步成形。当代中国科幻对"城市"的书写和想象,呈现出一种具体而特殊的把握"城市"的方式。这一方式既包含了人们对被高度分割的城市空间及其隐含的社会不公的不满,也反映出城市中人因无力打破当前困境而产生的顺从与自我辩解。在这一想象性关系中,"城市"成为难以思考和无从反抗的对象。尽管科幻小说可以通过重置时间和空间来重新构想城市,带来看似新奇的城市想象,但离开了对时间的社会属性和社会劳动议题的深入思考,这一想象方式同样陷入困境。

After experiencing the rapid urbanization process,the characteristics of China’s'cities'gradually formed.The writing and imagination of'city'in contemporary Chinese science fiction presents a specific and special way.This way not only contains people’s discontent with the highly divided urban space and the social injustice behind it,but also reflects the obedience and self-justification of people in cities because they are unable to break the current predicament.In this imaginative relationship,'city'becomes an object that is hard to think about and cannot resist.Although science fiction can reconstruct the city by resetting time and space,which brings seemingly novel urban imagination,this imagination also falls into a dilemma without deep thinking about the social attributes of time and social labor.
