本文介绍了国家海洋局第三海洋研究所研制的WSB1型底栖动物漩涡分选装置。它是一种大型底栖生物定量调查船用分选样品装置,可以在有动力设备的室内使用,该装置若用非金属材料制作,还可以用于重金属污染调查。该装置经多次试验并在东海、福建海岸带和台湾海峡842站次底栖动物定量调查中实际使用,结果表明它是底栖动物定量取样时样品分选较先进的设备,使用该装置既省功、省时,分选效果又好,对生物体无损坏。

Model WSB1 spiral benthos elutriation apparatus developed by the Third Institute of Oceanography,SOA,has been proved to be a good device for separation of benthic fauna samples in great numbers aboard a research vessel and in the laboratory.The nonmetallic construction of the device keeps away possible sources of heavy metals contamination.After being tested repeatedly and being used in 842 stations the device has proved to be an abvanced equipment for efficient and time saving sorting of benthic fauna without any damage to the samples.
