福建沿海泥炭的分布及其形成

DISTRIBUTION AND ITS FORMATION OF COASTAL PEAT IN FUJIAN

本文根据对若干泥炭点的野外考察,研究了福建沿海泥炭的分布及其形成,井对其开发利用提出一些见解。

Based on the analysis of geomorphology and sedimentary facies,the original types of the coastal burried Peat in Fujian are summarized into three types:the lagoonal peat,the river or ravine peat and the basin(between hills)Peat.According to the documents available,four main developmental phases might be divided ie.,Late Pleistocene,Early Holocene,Middle Holocene and Late Holocene.The formation and distribution of the peat has been closely as sociated with the climate changes,sea level fluctuations and neotectionic movements.There is wide and rich distribution of peat along the coastal area of Fujian.Though most.of the peat is burried,its cover is so thin that it is easy to be mined.Evidently,it is a kind of important resource for economic development in this area.Further details should bestudied in order to make best use of it in line with local conditions.
