CHAPTER 6 CONCLUSIONS

(一) 查明海洋环境各要素基本特征本次厦门港湾调查为综合性与多学科性质。通过调查,提供海洋水文、海水化学、海洋生物、海底地貌与沉积等方面基本资料,为评价厦门港湾海洋环境提供了基本依据。海洋水文调查提供了海区内水温,盐度、条件密度、波浪、合成海流、潮流、余流等基本资料。

The basic Characteristics of marine environmental elements and their distribution difference in Xiamen Harbour have been revealed in the comprehensive multidisciplinary investigation on the marine environment,in which some discoveries have been found and new recognizations have been arrived for the abnormal Phenomena and the changes of siltation in Xiamen Harbour,thus the evaluation on the natural environments of this Harbour has been made Preliminiarily.It is convinced that the environments of Xiamen Harbour have many favourable conditions for development,in which the superior conditions play a leading role although some troubles mainly from dumping also exist.The Prospect for the Harbour is good so long as the silt resources could be controlled and the regions of sea and land use could be improved.From the comprehensive survey on the natural,social and economic conditions,Xiamen Harbour could become a central harbour for SouthF ujian and a good harbour along Southeast China.The Harbour is very good for the multiple-function development for the industries of Ports,aquatic products,ship-building and tourism,etc.In order to obtain higher economic,social and ecological benifits from the development and utilization in Xiamen Harbour,some Proposes on development directions and research subjects are Put forward in this Paper.The research subjects are as follows,studies on the movement regulations of siltion and control;the layout of docks and berths and control of siltation in front of docks;the management plan of the waterways;reformation of Gaoqi-Jimei,Jimei-Xinglin and other causeways;the Productivity in the sea area;ecosystem of Jiulong Estuary;genetic breeding and artificial seeding of some commercial fishes,shrimps and shellfishes;development of tourism and environmental Protection,etc.
