中国海洋浮游生物学研究的回顾与前瞻

RETROSPECT AND PROSPE(T OF MARINE PLANKTOLOGY IN CHINA

本文将我国海洋浮游生物学的发展,作一扼要回顾与展望。作者认为,我国年轻的浮游生物学已从过去的形态、分类研究发展到现代的以生态为主的研究,并将向生理、生化进军。为了赶超世界先进水平,为了更好地为四化建设服务,作者认为,海洋浮游生物学,和其它自然科学一样,必须在基础理论研究上,面向生产(渔业),着重开展应用生态学研究(包括海洋浮游生物生态系和资源调查研究),为人民提供更多、更好的高蛋白海产品。这是海洋浮游生物学的最终目的。

In the present paper a brief account is given to the retrospect and prospect of marine planktology in China.The author is of the opinion that a marked progress has been made in taxonomy,morphology and ecology with the publication of hundreds of papers during recent years;but,so far,physiology and biochemistry still lag behind.However,the present trend of plankton research in China directs towards a faster development of the two latter disciplines with the object of raising the scientifc level of ma rine planktology.The topics of future research are also given in the paper.It is hoped that a greater sttention will be paid to the applied plankon research in relation to fisheries,so as to enhance the yield of fisheries to meet the ever-increasing demand of people for more high-protein food from the sca,which is the final aim of marine planktology.
