This paper explains the concept and functions of CA authentication service,analyzes the development status of CA authen-tication-related laws,regulations and standards,and in combination of CA authentication service development status and trends in the world's major developed countries and China,analyzes the current development status and existing problems in Yunnan province. In light of local policies and potential demand for CA authentication service in Yunnan,a conclusion is drawn that the development of Yunnan CA authentication service is fairly necessary and completely feasible. It is suggested that the government should promote the province's economic and social development,so as to increase the support to CA authentication services development;carry out the pilot project to drive the industrial application;strengthen publicity and education to raise public awareness;and enhance professional per-sonnel training to ensure industrial innovation and development.
