As an important resource in thermal power plants,power resources help to ensure the stable supply of electricity and ensure the efficient operation of all walks of life.As an important part of electric power production,the generating of fault is directly related to the failure of generator excitation system.It is necessary to ensure the normal operation of generator excitation system in thermal power plant,analyze the fault and improve the fault treatment effect.This paper briefly introduces the function of excitation system and generator excitation system of thermal power plant,analyzes the common faults of the system,and puts forward reasonable measures to solve the faults.
