Putting Richard Wright's novel native son in the theory of Spivak's study, analyzing the image of black women of the novel,we can find that, under the double oppression of the White centered speaking and patriarchy ideology, black women are in the marginalized status without voice, and they become the'subordinate women'without speaking. Mrs Thomas,Flad and Bessie are regarded as the complicity of tragedy, but the essence is the family affection not to be understood and the love not be respected. All this emphasizes the necessity to listen to the female speaking and the importance for the black female self- consciously awakening.
