《孟子》札记三则

摘要 《孟子》首章"万取千焉,千取百焉"应遵从传统解释,意为从万中取得一千,从千中取得一百。"王者之迹熄而诗亡,诗亡然后《春秋》作"一语,据廖平校订,当为"王者之迹熄而诗作,诗亡然后《春秋》作";孟子"尽信书则不如无书"一语,据宋王元泽所见《孟子》古本,当作"尽信书则不如无为书"。 'Thousand out of ten thousand,hundred out of thousand'in the first page of the Works of Mencius should obey the traditional explanation,meaning to pick out thousand from ten thousands,and pick out hundred from thousand.The sentence'when the royal court declined,poems withered away,and then the Spring and Autumn Annals began to emerge'said by Mencius should be'when the royal court declined,poems began to emerge,and when poems withered away,the Spring and Autumn Annals began to emerge'according to Liao Ping’s correction.Another sentence'better no book rather than trust book completely'should be'better not to learn book rather than trust book completely'accords to the ancient copies of the works of Mencius saw by Wang Yuanze.
