A Comparative Analysis of the Development of Higher Education between the Two Sides of the Taiwan Strait since 1990s

2 0世纪 90年代以来 ,大陆和台湾高等教育在改革与发展中既面临有共同的问题 ,又具有各自的重点和难点。在办学、管理、投资、招生等宏观运作体制上 ,海峡两岸既有相同之处也有不同之点。积极沟通 ,加强交流 ,取长补短 ,共同进步 ,是海峡两岸迎接未来挑战回应时代潮流的应有之举。

With the advancement of reforms, thoughts of general education, quality education and humanistic education are generally recognized and promoted in both the China's Mainland and Taiwan with various aspects being stressed in practice. There exist both similarities and differences in macro mechanism of operation such as school running, management, investment and enrollment. In the construction of higher education support system in terms of personnel management, educational legislation and educational information system, the two sides share much common ground. Therefore, active communication between the two sides is mutually beneficial.
