Lost Rebellion and Beaten'Howl' ——A comparison between Tropic of Cancer & On the Road

美国文学史中最有争议的作家之一亨利·米勒与20世纪60年代美国"垮掉的一代"文学主将杰克·凯鲁亚克,两位作家虽在年龄上悬殊了半个世纪,但就其作品,尤其是《北回归线》与《在路上》而言,无论在创作的主题、塑造的形象,还是艺术手法及创作态势上,都存在着某些相似之处。

Henry Miller is one of the most controversial writers in American literary history,while Jack Kerouac is an important writer among the American Beat Generation in the 1960's.Their works,especially Tropic of Cancer and On the Road ,share something in common either in their topics and characters or in their artistic forms,although Henry Miller was almost 50 years older than Jack Kerouac. This article intends to have a comparison between these two works with a view to exploring the coherence in them.
