“三个代表”重要思想是马克思主义在中国的新发展,是新世纪新阶段全党全国人民继往开来,与时俱进,实现全面建设小康社会宏伟目标的根本指针。而创新是一个民族的灵魂,是一个国家兴旺发达的不竭动力,也是一个政党永葆生机的源泉。因此,党必须始终站在时代潮流的前列,不断进行理论创新、制度创新、科技创新和教育创新,这是实践“三个代表”的重要途径。
