格式塔心理学是现代西方心理学的主要流派之一,"格式塔"就是指经由知觉活动组织过的经验中的整体。格式塔心理学所研究的出发点是"形",而对建筑来说,主要是通过视觉来知觉客观的事物。所以从格式塔心理学的角度来研究建筑视知觉,对把握建筑的"整体美"无疑是有启发作用的,是对建筑美学理论的拓展。

Gestalt psycology is one of the main school of modern western psychology 'Gestalt' means the whole in the experience organized by consciousness activity.The point for study of Gestalt psycology is 'form', in Architecture,primarily the objective thing is recognized through the sense of vision.Therefore, from Gestalt psycology to study consciousness in Architecture,it can inspire the 'whole beauty' of Architecture and expand the esthetics theory. 
