Recovering in a Rational Way

10月12日～18日,被誉为"电信奥林匹克"的ITU世界电信展(ITU Telecom World 2003)在瑞士名城日内瓦召开.本次展会的主题为"帮助世界沟通".据统计,共有来自全世界近百个国家的900多个厂商参加本次展会,展馆面积逾万平方米,ITU预计,本届展会有超过11.5万人次参加.

From October 12th to 18th, ITU Telecom World 2003, which is entitled 'Telecom Olympics', was held in Geneva of Switzerland. The theme of ITU Telecom World 2003 is 'Helping the World Communicate'. As we all know, the whole telecom industry in the world has suffered from its 'winter'. And the burst of 'Internet Bubble' made the whole industry fall from the highest position to the lowest, while ITU Telecom World 2003 opened just when the recovery of telecom industry began. After seeing the grand gathering of telecom industry, although we may find some traditional telecom giants are absent, we are still excited to see lots of new enterprises attending the exhibition. For almost half of the exhibitors it is their first time to attend this kind of exhibition organized by ITU. ITU Telecom World 2003 partly tells us the trend of rational development, and shows us the hope of the industry's recovery.
