Excellent training to enhance the nurse coping ability towards emergency

一种新的、严重的传染病———严重急性呼吸综合征 (severeacuterespiratorysyndrome ,SARS) ,给护理工作带来很多新问题 ,如何提高护士的应对能力 ,做好培训是关键。通过集中理论学习、护理技术操作演练、实地考察等相结合的方式 ,给予进入病区的护士较细致、具体的培训 ,了解严重传染病的消毒隔离措施、个人防护、心理调整、无创呼吸机的应用等方面的知识 ,提高了护士的有效应对能力 ,确保了SARS病区的护理工作质量和病人、工作人员的安全 。

The new serious contagious disease-severe acute respiratory syndrome(SARS),brought about many new problems to the clinical nursing work. To improve the coping ability of each nurse effectively, good training was the key point. The nurses' coping capabilities were effectively improved through the following strategies, such as giving the nurses working at the SARS wards theoretical and practical exercises, detailed and specific training, and helping them learn the knowledge on serious contagious diseases, sterilization and isolation, personal protection, psychological adjustment etc. Both the quality of the nursing work and the safety of the patients and the health care workers at the isolated units were ensured. The medical and nursing tasks were completed successfully.
