A mathematical model for optimizing bus schedule

提出了制定一条公交线路车辆调度方案的优化数学模型.该模型计算了乘客在车站等候的时间内所可能创造的财富———社会效益,并将乘客因候车而丧失创造该财富的机会看成一种社会成本.对车辆调度方案的评估时,不仅考虑了公司运营成本,而且考虑了相应的社会成本.因此,该模型制定的调度方案兼顾了公司利益和社会效益.最后将实际的统计数据带入模型,给出一个车辆调度发车时刻表的优化方案.

A mathematical model that optimizes the bus schedule is given. In the model, the length of waiting time for a bus is counted as an inefficient loss of passengers on their productivity (i.e. they can produce a certain amount output during waiting time). This model optimizes the bus schedule through compromising the two contradictory respects: the maximum profit gain for the bus companies and the minimum waiting time for passengers. At last, an example of optimized bus schedule based on the real statistical data is also indicated.
