Event and transaction are terms that are not easy to understand in VHDL. You should get a good understanding of these two terms in order to use correctly the predefined attributes of the signals. In this paper, the simulation cycles are analyzed in detail and the meaning of these two terms are discussed incisively by analyzing the simulation process of a VHDL model. Thus, the good teaching effect is obtained.
