On Guangwu Temple of the HAN Dynasty and Annihilation of Red-browed Peasant Insurrection Army

位于宜阳县三乡村的光武庙是东汉明帝即位后下诏兴建的皇家庙院。光武帝刘秀在此降服了声势浩大的赤眉起义军十万余众,从此奠定了东汉王朝二百余年的帝王基业。该庙是降伏赤眉军这一重大历史事件的标志性建筑。

Situated at the Sanxiang village in Yiyang county, Luoyang city, Henan province, the Guangwu temple was a loyal temple constructed after MING emperor crowned. LIU Xiu, emperor Guangwu, fought a battie here and annihilated a massive insurrection army of a hundred-thousand peasants. The victory of the battie lay a solid foundation for the empire of the East HAN Dynasty that existed for more than two hundred years. The temple is the symbolic architecture of this significant historic event of annihilation of the red-browed peasant insurrection.
