The Present Situation and Countermeasures of Ethnic Education in Border Pastoral Areas

东乌珠穆沁旗要在21世纪缩小与发达地区的差距,关键是狠抓基础教育,提高劳动者素质。必须真正落实优先重点发展和跨越式发展战略,进一步转变教育观念,加强对少数民族教育改革与发展的规划、协调和管理,继续深化教育体制改革,积极发展牧区现代化信息技术教育、远程教育和职业教育。

The key to narrowing the gap between East Wuzhumuqin Banner and other developed regions in the 21st century lies in the development of elementary education and improvement of the quality of laborers. We must implement the strategy of giving priority to developing key schools and the strategy of leaping development; further change educational views; make plans for reform and development of ethnic minority education; enhance cooperation and management; deepen educational system reform; and vigorously develop modern information technology education, distant education and vocational education in pastoral areas.
