The Contemporary Choice of Chinese Culture

This paper discusses the three choices of Chinese culture in history. Based on analyzing the scholars' opinions about total occidentalization and Confucianism regression and their failure, the paper presents the opin-ion that the contemporary choice of Chinese culture is to uphold and advocate comprehensive innovation under the policy of socialism with Chinese characteristics. And the method of comprehensive innovation is to take the kernel of traditional culture, to advance and enrich the spirit of regarding the nation as the principal part, to ab-sorb the excellent foreign culture and to make innovations in modern Chinese culture.
