How to Make Literature out from Deep Valley

迈向新世纪的文学,面对工商文化语境下大面积的文化溃败,面对物欲、商海及市场法则的洪流,应如何走出低谷,重塑辉煌呢?这是时代赋予美学、文艺学的崭新课题。我们应重新认识文学艺术的功能,消除工具意识,淡化政治色彩,回归其自身独特性。同时,文学应与其他意识形态一起担当起拯救人类精神,建构和谐人性的崇高使命,以理想的话语形式为人的生存架起超越性的坐标,为人的发展提供现实的价值理想,创设高远的人生意境,从整体上提升人的生命质量,促进人的全面发展。这是文学的崇高使命,也是人文知识分子无法推卸的责任和义务。

Facing the falling of commercialized culture context, desirableness of material and market rules, how should literature, walking into the new century, go out the deep valley and re-create triumph? This is a new task to the aesthetics and science of arts. On the bases of widely reading and researching, The writer of this article discusses the problem and gives her own opinion: we should re-judge the function of literature and arts by eliminating the sense of tool, weakening the political trend and going back to its uniqueness. At the same time, literature together with other ideologies should undertake the task to save the human soul and accomplish the task of making a harmonious humanity. It is the historical mission for literature to use the idealistic speeches, to provide the valuable ideal for human being and to create magnificent conception of human life. This is also a sacred duty for writers and humanist intellectuals.
