其亲历的具体事实记述了北京香山慈幼院的建立缘起、发展规模、特点以及院长熊希龄的办学宗旨和教育思想,说明了民国时期这所独具特色的平民学校的发展历程和可资借鉴与启迪的办学经验。
This article states the founding causes, development scope, characteristics of the school and the tenet and education ideas of the master, Xiong Xi-ling, as well as the developing courses and this unique civilian school and the experiences in running a school which can be referred and which is edificatory.
