Application of Geographical Information System to Highway Management

随着我国公路里程的快速增长 ,传统的管理手段已经日益显得效率低下 ,本文介绍了 GIS的强大功能以及它在公路管理中的应用 ,指出一旦将 GIS引入公路管理将对日常建设、规划、养护等工作带来极大的效率提升。

Traditional management on highway is relatively inefficient while the highway construction is booming in China today. This article is introduces the remarkable capacity of Geographical Information System (GIS) and its application to highway management, and demonstrates that it will greatly promote the management in the routine of construction, planning and maintenance while we applied the GIS into the management of highway.
