The 09CuPTiRE steel slab concasting with casting speed 0.70~0.90 m/min and feeding diameter 2.5 mm rare earth (RE) wire in mould has been tested. The rare earth elements were uniformly distributed in 1 250 mm×200 mm slab, in which maximum RE content was 0.039% and minimum RE content was 0.026%. The RE yield was more than 80% by feeding rare earth wire in mould and the cross section impact energy of slab was improved obviously.
