The paper briefly introduces the background of the continuous acquisition and lifecycle support(CALS), emphatically discusses the system architecture and key techniques of CALS, and the impact of the CALS method to the process of entire life cycle of weapon and equipment. According to the analysis of the probability of CALS's application in the state's strategy of weapon and equipment, the CALS strategy is the inevitable options for the management of entire life cycle of weapon and equipment.
