A lot of names of Gods and ancestors were inscribed in the bamboo slips unearthed in the Chu Tombs at Wangshan, Tianxingguan and Baoshan, belong to three aristocrats of Chu Kingdom. Through observation and study on the bamboo slips, we conclude that Jiu Ge written by Qu Yuan was based on the folk songs offered to Gods, not the elegiac address of the Chu royal.
