香港城市交通规划设计概况——一位建筑师对香港交通的审视

作者通过近20年间断地对一个国际大都市交通存在问题与发展状况的亲身体会,认为有必要总结一下,与同行交流,特别是中国相当多的城市在迅速发展的情况下,更有启发与借鉴作用。作者曾在建筑师学会1991上海年会发表《浅谈香港城市交通》,又经十年的继续关注,完成了较详的介绍,文中分十个章节介绍香港的历史与人口发展给交通带来的困难与问题;香港在调动一切交通设施中的兼容性;香港交通重视公路、铁路、地铁、码头的良好联系与网络化;在新市镇的建设与房屋开发中注重交通规划的同步实施;新机场良好的交通规划设计保证香港作为世界十大空航中心之一的地位;新建的公共建筑相当重视与城市交通的协调配合等等。作者小结中指出:作为一个国际大都市,城市的交通规划设计与实施是城市健康发展极为重要的任务,必须视城市交通如人的血脉,各级人士共同努力,才能达到方便、快捷、安全、舒适的成功之路。
