The Literary Color is to Decorate the Language——A research on text classifying in Wenxin Diaolong

刘勰根据文章形式与内容的关系,将形式分为"内呈"与"外饰"两层,并点出了两者之间的关系:"文采所以饰言"。通过内外形式的融合,刘勰构筑自己心目中理想的作品样式。

Based on how the forms related to their contents in literary works,Liuxie categorized them into two layers,i.e., inside display and outside decoration. He also pointed out the relation between them,that is : the literary color is to decorate the language. He accordingly constructed his own ideal style of literary work by combine the inside and outside forms. 
